UF Football Team Returns from Miami, 1/9/09
The 2008 BCS Champion Florida Gators returned to Gainesville Regional Airport on Friday afternoon, only 14 hours after defeating the Oklahoma Sooners 24-14.
An American Airlines plane taxied down the tarmac under a an arch of water being sprayed by firetrucks, creating a rainbow above the team that won a second national championship is three seasons.
Classes began at UF on Tuesday, so the players will be hitting the books on Monday morning.
The team will be honored at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
