Photo Gallery: Ocala Caravan, 7/31/08 : Ocala -- The ninth and final stop of the Gator Country Caravan was held before the Marion County Gator Gathering at Central Florida Community College on Thursday. Here's a gallery of photos from the event.

Gator Country Publisher Ray Hines, Executive Editor Buddy Martin, Managing Editor Franz Beard, Senior Columnist/Radio host Mark McLeod, Radio host/columnist Brady Ackerman, Recruiting Coordinator "Hollywood" Bob Redman, video director Brenden Martin, Advertising Director James Irvine and video intern Michelle Nixon were all present, as well as WGGG/WMOP radio host Adam Reardon and board operator Matt Benedict.

Current Florida quarterback John Brantley and defensive back Joey Sorrentino, both Ocala natives, and their families were part of the crowd. Former Gator linebacker Scot Brantley was part of a panel that spoke about the upcoming season. Trinity Catholic head coach and former Gator quarterback John Brantley was the master of ceremonies, part of which including conducting an auction to benefit a scholarship fund.

Photo Gallery: Gainesville Caravan : Friday Night Lights is a one-day football camp at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The Gator Country Caravan is stopping around the Southeast this summer, mixing loyal subscribers, new members and the Gator Country staff for an evening of inside information about the Florida athletics program.

Executive Editor Buddy Martin, GC Publisher/Owner Raymond Hines III, Managing Editor Franz Beard, Recruiting Coordinator Hollywood Bob Redman, Gator Country Radio Show Host & Senior Columnist Mark McLeod, reporter Cody Jones and sales manager James Irvine were on hand to meet and greet Gator fans prior to the event at the Swamp.

Adam’s Rib Co., the best barbecue restaurant in town, provided an excellent buffet that satisfied a hungry crowd.

“The Gator Connection” radio show, hosted by Keith Kaczorowski and former Florida defensive back Fred Weary, did a live remote broadcast, while the Gator Country internet radio show made its debut.

Ocala Trinity Catholic head coach John Brantley was on hand, as well and current Gators Johnny Brantley, Javier Estopinan, Jonathan Phillips and former Gator lineman Drew Miller.

Photo Gallery: Jacksonville Caravan : Jacksonville -- More than 125 Gator Country subscribers and friends were at Sneakers Sports Grille at Pointmeadows at the intersection of 9A and Baymeadows Blvd. on Wednesday for a night of Gator news, recruiting updates and stories.

Gator Country Insiders Buddy Martin, Brenden Martin, Franz Beard, Hollywood Bob Redman and Mark McLeod addressed the audience and answered questions about the upcoming football, basketball, baseball and recruiting seasons. 

Everyone appreciated seeing Terry Norvelle, Malcolm Jowers, Fred Weary and Jeff Chandler, who were all in attendance. 

Thanks to the staff at Sneakers for hosting such a great event!

The next Caravan stop will be Friday at 5pm in Gainesville before Friday Night Lights.

Photo Gallery: Gator Country Caravan - Gator Landing, East Palatka : East Palatka -- More than 100 Gator fans were treated to a night of football talk from Hollywood Bob Redman, Buddy Martin and Mark McLeod along the bank of the beautiful St. Johns River at Gator Landing Restaurant.

Gator Landing general manager Wally Hough and his staff treated those in attendance to a wonderful night of delicious food on the waterfront.
